Soon, Facebook users could see a new Related Discussions section displayed on their News Feed when someone actually posts a certain link or even reshares a post from the social media platform. This will allow users to stay updated on discussions about relevant topics that are currently being discussed in a public group via the Groups tab.
The company says that the implementation here is to help private group communities connect with other public groups to stay updated with the current trends, hobbies and humour while they share common interests together. In relation to this, Facebook says public posts from Groups could also make an appearance outside of its website and app when users are searching on the web. This is so that people can check out the conversation without actually joining the group but nevertheless, admins will still have the ability to control group settings for privacy purposes. Apart from the new direction for the public posts, other new elements that are coming to Facebook Groups include Admin Assist, Community Management Certification, Chats, Prompts, and many more. Hence, if you love hanging out in various Groups throughout Facebook or even run some of them, you might want to take note and study these new features and tools. This is so that you will not be surprised by the changes that they will bring to your favorite Groups. (Source: Facebook)
